Jayco Silverline Outback
Our customers brought their Jayco Silverline Outback Caravan to RV Power because when they purchased their caravan it came with a single 160W Solar panel and a single 200Ah AGM battery that could barely last more than one night without external power.
Who likes to go camping for one night? Our goal is to provide 2-3 days of off grid power…Without sunlight.
Why without sunlight? because it’s not always sunny!
To do this we offer multiple power solutions to our customers and offer our suggestions depending on the customers needs.
The RV Power solution we provided
- 1060W in total solar panel capability
- two x 200AH Enerdrive lithium battery’s
- two x DC 2 DC Enerdriver Battery chargers to handle the power input from the 6 new solar panels
- one 240v Victron Pheonix smart charger (12v 50 Amp with 3 Outputs)
All new electrical wiring and the benefit of the Enerdrive ePOWER B-TEC battery is the Bluetooth Monitoring Technology so you can check your battery from your mobile or tablet.
Added extras for flexibility and to suit the customers needs
- New Anderson plugs and wiring connecting the caravan to the customers car
- New Anderson plugs and wiring for the customers car to allow for higher charging capability’s while driving
- External In/Out Anderson plug for additional solar blanket when in the shade or for powering external appliances like fridges when necessary.
With all these features Gary and Jeyne have multiple power options and a total of 400Ah with a maximum combined input of 81Amps they can stay off grid for as long as it is sunny. Not finished after 3 days without sun? The option to use a generator for a little boost is always there!
